This Privacy Notice explains how we at Aurora Bed and Breakfast use any personal information we collect about you.
What information we collect about you
If you have booked via a travel booking website (Booking.com, Expedia etc.) rather than direct with our own website, your personal information will be managed as part of the Terms and Conditions of the booking agent.
When you make a booking with us using the Aurora B&B website, we collect the name of the primary guest who makes the booking, country of residence, contact information such as email address or telephone number of the person making the booking.
If payment is made either by phone at the time of booking or by debit or credit card at check out, the details are taken by Square and the use of this data is covered by their Terms and Conditions.
How we use the information we hold on you
We will use your email address to send you confirmation of the booking and details on how to find us and other information you may find useful for your stay.
We will not use your telephone number to contact you unless for an emergency and/or we have been unable to contact you by email.
How is your data stored
All of the personal data you supply us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, Wix.com.
Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our services to you.
Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. The data is stored on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our website adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our website and its service providers.
Neither we nor Wix will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.
We will never use your contact details for direct or indirect marketing, nor will we pass your personal information to third-parties for marketing purposes.
We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests aged 16 years and over. We do this by asking you to provide this information on arrival if you haven’t already done so through our booking system.
